The Lynnsto Story

Four decades of
breeding excellence.

Mich Dale founded Lynnsto in 1981 as a small quality show kennel in Staffordshire, breeding for quality, soundness and temperament. That principle hasn't changed in 45 years.

What began as a single-breed passion has become one of the most respected Westie breeding programmes in the world - producing champions including UK/Hu/Cro/Be/Int. Ch Lynnsto Platinum WW, Ch. Lynnsto Eye Candy, and Ch. Lynnsto Mastercard JW ShCM. Lynnsto-bred Westies carry titles across the UK, Hungary, Croatia, Belgium, Japan, South Africa, Portugal and Russia.

Mich is also a certified EGA Judge (European Grooming Association) - qualified through multiple international championship medals and trusted to judge competitions across Europe. This dual expertise in breeding and presentation means every Lynnsto terrier is bred, raised, and finished to the highest possible standard.

Every Lynnsto litter is planned years in advance. We don't breed on a schedule. We breed when a specific pairing will improve the line - when the health tests are clear, the temperaments are right, and the pedigree produces something better than what came before.

We've turned down more prospective owners than we've approved. That's not elitism - it's responsibility. A Lynnsto Westie goes to a home that's been interviewed, that understands the breed, and that commits to keeping us informed for life. Every dog we've ever bred has a standing invitation to come home if circumstances change. No questions asked.

After 45 years, we know every line in our programme - every strength, every trait, every tendency across generations. That depth of knowledge doesn't come from a textbook. It comes from four decades of watching puppies grow into champions, and champions grow into the foundation of the next generation.
